The Story Behind the Shoot
What do you do when it is chucking it down with rain?
We decided to try the sports hall as we liked how the floor markers could add a graphic element. Shooting from the viewing gallery added a striking viewpoint to the image. We used studio lighting to make the subject stand out and then asked the subject to throw the ball towards the camera. This made the image more dynamic at the same time as relaxing the subject.
How Do You Photograph Maths?
Same Subject Different Solutions
There are certain subjects like maths or computing that are very challenging when trying to capture interesting images. Here are two very different examples using the same idea. One picture utilises an internal window in a classroom, using the natural ambient light to create a realistic scenario. The other example has a more concept feel to it, using studio lighting, colour and contrast.
